Our Gulf dream is still alive in spite of the situation that thousands of
Keralites are on the way back home from Saudi Arabia due to the
implementation of Nitaqat law. Even then several people are waiting for
visa and relevant papers to migrate to this dream land of the Gulf. The
Gulf had been a dream destination for the last five decades. The economy
of Kerala had been receiving an annual foreign exchange of $64 billion
every year from the non resident Keralites in the Gulf, according to a
report. Our central and State governments hailed the NRKs for their
contribution into our nation's economy.
